Our Story

Soundscapes

At Deep Space we like to sound different. Our unique blend of exotic instruments coupled with over 10,000 hours of joyful study enable us to offer a portal for journeying and transformation. More than a sound bath, our soundscapes are a blend of molecular massage, cosmic travel, and celestial joy.

I first picked up a Didgeridoo in 2007. Since then my arsenal of instruments has grown considerably to over 50 instruments. In 2020, my experimentation with metal instruments really exploded. I started incorporating gongs, Himalayan bowls, and other metal instruments into my soundscapes. I have had the pleasure of attending trainings with Don Conreaux, Mitch Nur, John Beaulieu, and Bear Love. My Sound Offerings, have been described as “Astral Journey’s,” and “Molecular Massages.” My unique set of instruments combined with my relentless joy and study has resulted in unique sonic adventure. I offer a diverse array of sound journeys in a wide variety of settings from private sound baths, psychedelic sound journeys, and corporate offerings.

Mallets

Whether you’re just starting out with a 24 inch wind or have a gong cage of 20+ gongs, Deep Space mallets has the mallets to help you sound different.

Deep Space Mallets was born on October 14, 2021 out of curiosity. Shortly after acquiring my first gongs, I started making prototype Mallets for my 24 inch Wind and 32 inch Chao. Although there are some great mallet companies out there, I was looking for something different. My curiosity led me to experiment with countless handle shapes, core densities, and padding material.

I then started looking beyond the horizon. I started sourcing exotic woods from all over the world and having them hand turned. Since then I have been constantly evolving the Deep Space Mallets to what they are today.

Because of the mallets, I have been able to develop relationships with gong makers such as Oetken Gongs, Ryan Shelledy, Grotta Sonora, and Shawn Aceto. These relationships were critical in deepening my understanding of the different available gongs and how my mallets play on them.

To date I have shipped gong mallets to countries on 4 continents and am constantly pushing the boundaries as to what a gong mallet can be.

I offer a full range of Custom Gong, Buffalo Drum and Himalayan Bowl Mallets to extract unique sounds out of your instruments. Let us know what sound your looking for and we can customize a mallet for your playing style, and lineup of gongs.

Anne Marie Miller

Anne Marie Miller is a gifted percussionist and Djembe player, exploring the power of sound as a healing modality for over 10 years. In deepening her connection with the drum through the study of Brazilian shamanic music, she recognizes the drumbeat as a maternal, vibratory vehicle that can transport listeners to new states of consciousness, creating a sense of liberation from the mind, and the space to encounter fresh ways of being.

Anne Marie completed her vinyasa yoga teacher training in 2017 at Sukha Yoga in Austin, Texas after a car accident inspired her to learn about the body and how to unlock its self-healing capacity. Through yoga, breath, and sound, Anne Marie cultivates a heart-centered practice to balance her active mind. Her musical intuition coupled with her knowledge of the physical body enables her to inspire uniquely transformative experiences attuned to the needs of the moment.
